Step 1 of 4 · How to order
Find the smallest first. Then the next smallest. And so on.
To order least → greatest: pull out the SMALLEST each time and put it on the left.
To order greatest → least: pull out the BIGGEST each time instead.
When numbers are close, compare them digit-by-digit (just like in the compare lesson).
Step 2 of 4 · Order: 520, 250, 450, 350
Watch — smallest first, then next.
↓ sorted least → greatest ↓
Step 3 of 4 · Close numbers — 1234, 1324, 1243
When the first digits match, compare deeper.
↓ sorted least → greatest ↓
All three start with 1, so check the hundreds: 2 vs 3 vs 2. The 3 is biggest → 1324 last.
Tied 2s? Compare tens: 1234 has 3, 1243 has 4 → 1234 first.
Step 4 of 4 · Your turn
Pick the correct order.
